CreateTsMedia failed with error 0x80070005, details=""
Hello,
I know there are tons of threads with similar issues, and I've read through alot of them with no success, so I am creating my own thread.
Anyway like most, I am trying to create a standalone boot media on a USB Flash Drive (8gb in size, rounds off at about 7.5GB if you look at it under properties).
I am running the SCCM console from a Windows XP SP3 machine, using my admin credentials. I've tried the following to no avail:
Unmapped all the network drives on my machineGave Everyone Local Launch permission in the DcomCnfg console. For "Creator owner", give "Special permissions" at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WBEM. Then, please try to create a boot media again. Both of the above togetherRunning as local adminRemoving the "Install Drivers" task from the task listUsed a smaller image thinking maybe the flash drive wasn't big enough
Any other ideas?
Here is the last entries in the CreateTsMedia.log file:

But I've granted myself full access, hmm, I suppose it could be our encryption. I'll remove that temporarily to see if that fixes the issue.

you could create an ISO instead (locally) and extract the contents using 7zip or similar to your USB key

Ok yeah it was the SafeGaurd Encryption we use. Despite granting full access on both my accounts to the drive, the encryption was still denying me access too it. I've since been using a machine without encryption and everything is working fine. My bad.
Learning experience I guess..lol
